Qualified Teacher & Experienced Tutor
I’m Martin Rose, a qualified teacher with extensive classroom and tutoring experience across both the National Curriculum (England) and the Curriculum for Excellence (Scotland). This dual training means I can tailor lessons to each child’s school system, bridging learning gaps or supporting transitions between them.
I specialise in raising attainment in the core subjects of reading, writing, and maths, helping children catch up quickly and make lasting progress.
Based in Felixstowe, I work with families in person and online. I’ve worked with pupils across all ages, including those with complex additional support needs, developmental challenges, and difficult backgrounds, as well as teenagers preparing for exams. My approach is structured, research-based, and results-focused, but always adapted to the needs of the individual child.
Parents trust me to provide the right balance of rigour and encouragement: building strong foundations, stretching able learners, and supporting vulnerable children to succeed. I also draw on my background in outdoor education to make learning practical, memorable, and confidence-building.

Safeguarding and Professional Standards
Safety and trust are central to MR Tutor. I hold an enhanced DBS check, full insurance coverage, and adhere to clear Safeguarding, Privacy, and Terms of Tuition policies. Copies are available on request. Parents can book with confidence that every safeguard is in place.
