Yes. I offer GCSE support in both English and maths, depending on the student’s needs and my availability.
Do you follow a specific exam board?
I can adapt sessions to suit the student’s school and exam board, while also focusing on the core knowledge and skills that matter across GCSE courses.
Is online tutoring effective for GCSE?
Yes, for many students it works very well. The key is clear teaching, strong organisation and lessons that keep the student actively involved.
Do you work with nervous or reluctant learners?
Yes. Many students come to tutoring feeling anxious, frustrated or low in confidence. A big part of my role is helping them feel more capable and more in control.

GCSE tuition that meets students where they are
GCSE can feel like a lot. For some students, the challenge is gaps in knowledge. For others, it is confidence, exam technique, or simply feeling that lessons in school move too fast.
My tutoring is designed to reduce that pressure and give students the structure and support they need to move forward.
Sessions are tailored to the individual, but may include:
building core knowledge step by step
revisiting gaps from earlier years
improving confidence in key topics
practising exam-style questions
developing stronger written responses in English
improving method, accuracy and problem-solving in maths
learning how to approach papers calmly and effectively
I particularly enjoy helping students who have started to feel stuck, discouraged or behind and showing them that progress is possible with the right support.

I aim to create sessions where students feel comfortable enough to ask questions, make mistakes and keep trying. That is often when the best progress happens.
My background in teaching and tutoring means I understand that no two students are the same. I adapt my approach to suit the learner in front of me, whether they need very clear step-by-step teaching, patient repetition, or help rebuilding confidence after a difficult experience in school.
Support for students with additional needs
I have experience and training supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD and dyslexia. My approach is structured, calm and responsive, with teaching adapted to reduce overload and build confidence.
Where appropriate, sessions can be paced carefully, broken into manageable steps and shaped around the way your child learns best.
Fees
£40 per hour
Tutoring is available as regular weekly sessions or, where spaces allow, on a more flexible basis.
